It's official: Gary Gensler will leave the SEC on January 20, 2025. The SEC appeal will likely be resolved amicably. Ripple becomes a major shareholder in SWIFT, which will use XRP as a bridge currency for international transfers (USD 1 to 4 trillion per day). The FED authorizes the repayment of debt in XRP. Ripple's RLUSD is set to launch in early December 2024. According to President Trump's policy to make the US the world's crypto capital, XRP will become one of the few cryptos exempt from capital gains tax by the new administration. Already four applications for XRP ETFs have been filed. Possibly, Brad Garlinghouse will be inducted as "Crypto Czar" by Trump after taking office on January 20, 2025.

In 2017, before the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple, XRP had gone from $0.20 to over $3.80 (66,000% in 22 days), then fell back to around USD when Coinbase delisted the leading South Korean exchange.
On August 7, 2024, Ripple won its first-instance lawsuit against the SEC.
It is now set in stone: XRP is not a Security.
The head of the SEC announced his resignation effective January 20, 2025. An amicable settlement of the appeal will likely be reached before the end of January 2025.
In November 2024, XRP went from 5th to 3rd capitalization in just one month, surpassing Solana and USDT.
